Duplicate NIE….

I know my NIE number but don’t have the original piece of paper confirming it. I do have a feint copy of it on fax paper from 1998.
Apparently these days the car dealer needs it or they can’t get a car registered in my name. Knowing the number is no longer enough. Does any one know how I get a duplicate paper?
