I have been in Mallorca for five years and living in the Port of Pollenca now. I am from Canada and here on a non lucrative visa. I have dealt with a solicitor in Palma from the beginning while still in Canada through a relative here and now have just received my 5year Residency. She will help you tremendously and will help you through regarding    what is expected to receive a permanent residency. Her name is Maria Pilar Morlans Omos  and she goes by Pilar Morlans. She is in The Centre and you will have to Google her address and phone number because I don’t have it handy here at the moment. I know quite a few people who use Pilar and I think you will be very happy with the help she gives you. I found it somewhat complicated here and not easy for a non resident. She is fluent in English as well. Good luck!
