Is anyone interested in a UK/Mallorca car swap?

We have a runaround Mini Cooper in the UK and would be interested in swapping it for a similar runaround on Mallorca.

Although a slightly unusual proposition, this might suit someone moving back to the UK, or who pops back and forth, or perhaps someone with kids in the UK for whom our runaround might be useful.

Hi there,

I've just seen a house to rent in Galilea that hasn't got broadband.  The inmobilarios seemed unsure, it looks like the previous tenants used satellite. Is there any fibre optic in the village?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I can't live without it and my kids were looking anxious at the thought of it!  I have had similar battles living outside of Calvia and I would like to avoid the headache.

I'm a single man considering a move to Mallorca from Madrid to escape the hustle and bustle and be by the sea. I'd appreciate it if I could get some information on the Sa Pobla area as a place to live. Is there much to do (nightlife, bars, gyms, facilities, etc.)? Is there an expat community and if so from where and what age (is there an Internations group in Sa Pobla)? Is it an open, friendly place (I like to socialise - don't want to vegetate in front of Netflix with the aircon on)? Coming from a big city, am I likely to get bored? Can I get the type of goods I'd get in Madrid (a good range of food in supermarkets - I like to cook)? Is rented accommodation expensive/good quality (Madrid is expensive and truly awful for what you pay for)? Can you get around easy enough (I got rid of my car because public transport in Madrid is excellent)? Anything of use really?

A few years ago the hotel mayol closed.Over the years I have seen pictures of a new hotel being built. I can't get  any further info. as to whether the building work was completed  or what the name of the hotel is.Does anyone know what has happened?
